Purpose and philosophy
ESA Prevention & Rescue Diver course has been conceived to introduce and develop techniques and knowledge useful to prevent recreational diving accidents and to assist a diver in need. Through the study and the practical experience under the control of the ESA Instructor, the participants shall improve their attitude to safe diving and shall discover their abilities and limitations in order to provide assistance to a diver in need.
The course requires the study of the ESA Prevention & Rescue Diver, the Instructor theory elaboration and the Open Water Training Sessions.
The purpose of the course is to enable people to provide help beyond personal limits if a more qualify personnel is not available in the scene of a diving emergency and in the same (or better) environment conditions encountered during the educational phases.
It will be the ESA Instructor task to fit the programme, respecting the established rules, according to the participant needs and expectations, as made to measure.
This course has a very important role in diver's development also because it will highlight personal attitude in working with others divers and the personal interest about ESA Professional Training Carrier (ESA Diveleader and ESA Instructor Courses).
