Oxygen First Aid
Purpose and philosophy
The course ESA Oxygen First Aid has been conceived for introducing and developing the techniques and the knowledge related to the first help with the aid of the oxygen, profits to make a valid ring of conjunction between a victim of underwater accident, of a syndrome of almost drowning or of an indisposition and the specialized personnel that it intervenes for lending help and to disburse the following specialist medical cares. Often near to a person that suffers an underwater accident or that he feels badly suddenly there are not the personnel medical or paramedical but Instructors or underwater guides, other scuba divers, friends, cognizant or relatives. International medical community is in agreement in to underline the great importance that breathing pure oxygen has in the first help and in the elapsed of the dive accidents over that in other emergencies as for instance in the case of pre-drowning syndrome. To intervene sooner the possible to maintain the vital functions and to help the victim to breathe oxygen to a near concentration to 100%, allows an effective intervention from the qualified personnel, increasing notably the possibilities of survival and therefore the patient recovery. For this motive it is important that a greater number of people learn the fundamental techniques of first help and oxygen disbursement and that, in case of necessity, is able to effectively apply it and without prejudices. You will find all the information well delineates in the ESA Oxygen First Aid manual.
