Purpose and philosophy
The ESA Oxygen First Aid Instructor course was developed with the intention to provide to the candidates a specific training ESA to techniques of teaching medical Oxygen First Aid use as first aid presidium in case of suspect (or real) MDD (decompression pathology sickness) and for pre-drowning syndrome as recommended by most updated information and with maximum safety.
The course prepares the ESAs Professional to train other scuba divers, snorkelers and common people to apply the Oxygen First Aid techniques with the oxygen, to effect as measure of first intervention on a person that has been victim of a decompression accident or drowning syndrome.
One of the purposes of the ESA Oxygen First Aid course is to create good links between the incident and the arrival of skilled rescuers. To make this possible, it is important that ESA Oxygen First Aid Instructor properly learn the techniques that will teach and at the same time to acquire the safety and awareness needed to be effective in conveying to their students the right attitude towards a medical emergency situation or in case of pre-drowning situation. Through the study of ESA materials provided for the ESA Oxygen First Aid course, the theory lessons and practical experience conducted under the guide of an Oxygen First Aid Instructor ESA IC Director, Instructor learns the techniques most suited to promote, organize, and conduct market of ESA Oxygen First Aid course.
The course includes the study of the manual ESA "Oxygen First Aid emergency care handbook", the "References to the course ESA Oxygen First Aid" and slides required by the course, processing of information by ESA First Aid IC Director, tests of teaching.
