Purpose and philosophy
The ESA First Aid Instructor course was developed with the intention to provide to the candidates a specific training ESA to techniques of teaching medical first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to enable them to train other divers, snorkelers and common people techniques for First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, to be used as a primary intervention on a person injured or sick.
One of the purposes of the ESA First Aid course is to create good links between the incident and the arrival of skilled rescuers. To make this possible, it is important that ESA First Aid Instructor properly learn the techniques that will teach and at the same time to acquire the safety and awareness needed to be effective in conveying to their students the right attitude towards a medical emergency situation. Through the study of ESA materials provided for the ESA First Aid course, the theory lessons and practical experience conducted under the guide of a First Aid Instructor ESA IC Director, Instructor learns the techniques most suited to promote, organize, and conduct market of ESA courses First Aid.
The course includes the study of the manual ESA "First Aid emergency care handbook", the "References to the course ESA First Aid" and slides required by the course, processing of information by ESA First Aid IC Director, tests of teaching.
While taking into account the minimum targets that must be attained in the participant, the program was designed to meet the possible needs of the individual in terms of time, mode of learning and possible repetition of the various formative stages.
It is the task of ESA IC Director modelling the program, in compliance with the adopted standards, according to the instructor's expectations, making the course to meet its needs.
ESA IC Director must play an educational role, trying to transmit to future ESA First Aid Instructor the "tricks of the trade" that will allow it successfully and with professionalism teach the course ESA First Aid.
